Dating Affiliates FAQ
What are affiliate programs?
Affiliate programs are easy-to-join systems that enables Webmasters
to earn monthly paychecks by promoting one or more websites.
How much money should I expect to make?
That depends on you! The more users you send, the more you'll earn.
This is one of those consistent industries that doesn't look like
it'll ever go away. People are breaking up and single all of the
time. There's a lot of money, some affiliates are reportedly earning
upwards of $40 000 (£22 000) a month. A realistic figure for
a small website is $200 - $5000 (£100 - £3000) a month.

Can I get into legal trouble for this?
No, there is no risk in the dating industry at all. Of course it
is recommended that you stick within the guidelines offered by each
dating affiliate program that you join.
Are these programs free to join?
All of the programs listed on this website are free. We never recommend
you join an affiliate program if they charge a set-up fee. Programs
should be in the business of making money from your sales, not from
recruiting you.
How often am I paid?
This will depend on the program. Most pay on a monthly basis, with
some paying every 2 weeks. Occasionally you'll get paid on a quarterly
basis. You should review the terms of the affiliate program prior
to signing up. Most affiliate programs have a minimum cheque amount,
if you don't reach this amount in a month your balance is carried
forward to the next cheque.
Does it cost anything to become an affiliate?
No. It costs absolutely nothing to become an affiliate. In fact
you can start earning money almost immediately, because it takes
just a few minutes to sign up, and only a bit longer to put a banner
or descriptive text link onto your web page.
Are taxes removed from my commissions?
Very rarely. You're an independent contractor therefore it's your
duty to report any and all earnings. We cannot provide advice on
this. You should seek information from an accountant or tax professional
in your jurisdiction.
Do I have to be from the USA or UK?
No, you can sign up for any of these programs from anywhere around
the world. Dating websites are considered to be an eproduct, where
there's no shipping or concrete material. Members can therefore
be located anywhere in the world!
Do I need to be incorporated? Do I need any other type
of business license?
No you don't. You can have the payments made out to your personal
name.
How do I keep track of the money I'm earning?
Once you have been accepted as an Affiliate, you will be given
a login and password that gives you secure access to each sites
Affiliate Centre. Members can keep track of the number of clicks
generated, and of course, the amount of cash earned.
Does my site qualify for an affiliate program?
As long as you have a site that does not contain or promote illegal
activity or materials, you are welcome to become an Affiliate Partners.
There is generally no minimum traffic level for you to worry about.
What is the difference between the Click-through, Per Member, and
Percentage Affiliate programs?
There are different rates and programs for each site. The details
are listed on each site.
1. A click-through program pays you a variable number of cents
per unique click-through depending upon which site you're promoting
and the quality of traffic you send from your site to ours.
2. The per member program pays you a fixed amount for each person
who signs up for a free membership.
3. The percentage program pays you a percentage of initial premium
membership fees plus a bonus for each free signup.
Can I earn money by referring other websites to sign up
under my affiliate accounts?
Most sites have broker programs which allow you to refer other
webmasters to the affiliate program. When a webmaster uses your
link to signup you get paid a percentage of their earnings. |
